Venture partnership

This is for you if: You have the idea, the market and the domain knowledge, and you would rather not fund the whole build up front.

An alternative to paying the full development cost. We reduce or replace the fee in exchange for revenue share or equity.

  • Some clients have a strong product and a real market, but would rather not carry the entire build cost before the first customer arrives. Where that is the case, we can take revenue share or equity in place of some or all of the fee.
  • The practical effect is that we carry some of the risk with you. We think that is a healthier arrangement than a supplier who gets paid the same whether the product succeeds or not.
  • To be clear, this is an option, not a requirement. We are happy to simply build what you need and be paid for it, and that is how most of our work is done.
  • We are selective about it, because it only makes sense where we believe in the market and can see a route to revenue.

Delivery partnership

This is for you if: You already have a product and a roadmap you cannot ship fast enough.

We become your AI-native build capacity, on day rate or on a shared-upside arrangement, whichever suits you.

  • For established software companies, the constraint is rarely ideas. It is throughput, because a roadmap keeps slipping when hiring senior engineers takes months.
  • We plug in as a senior, AI-native delivery team working on your product, to your standards, inside your release process.
  • This can run as a straightforward commercial engagement, or, where you would prefer to conserve cash, on an arrangement where part of our fee is tied to the upside instead. Either way the work and the standard are the same.

Common questions

What does a software development partnership involve?

It is an alternative to paying the full development cost up front. DIGI takes revenue share or equity in place of part of the fee, which means DIGI carries some of the commercial risk. It is offered when a client would prefer it, and it is never a condition of working with DIGI. A straightforward fixed-price build where the client owns everything is always available and is how most of our work is done.

Can we commission a build and own it outright?

Yes, and this is the default. A Build engagement is fixed scope and fixed price, and the client holds the intellectual property and the source code from the start. Revenue share and equity arrangements only apply where a client asks for them.

How do you deliver enterprise software faster than a traditional studio?

Because our own delivery process is AI-native, not just the products we build. AI development tooling is central to how the studio works every day, across code, tests, documentation, review and infrastructure. That lets a small senior team deliver enterprise-grade software considerably faster and at materially lower cost than a traditional studio carrying the same scope, without removing the security, accessibility and testing work that a procurement panel will check.

Where is the software engineered and hosted?

DIGI engineers software in the United Kingdom and hosts in the United Kingdom by default. Sovereign self-hosted deployment is available through our sister company CHMS Cyber Security for organisations with the strictest data requirements.

Do you work with UK public-sector organisations?

Yes. DIGI builds enterprise software for UK public-sector organisations, including statutory casework platforms delivered in partnership with Invision360.

What does AI-native mean?

AI-native means artificial intelligence is the foundation of both what we build and how we build it. We build AI-first products such as agents and autonomous systems, and we use AI throughout our own delivery, which is how a small senior team ships at the pace of a much larger one.
